  1. To me Facebook is a social networking site where you are able to interact with family and friends all over the world. You can also allow people to know what you are doing at the moment or how you feel by updating your status or taking a picture and uploading it. “Facebook is a social networking website that was originally designed for college students, but is now open to anyone 13 years of age or older. Facebook users can create and customize their own profiles with photos, videos, and information about themselves. Friends can browse the profiles of other friends and write messages on their pages.” http://www.techterms.com/definition/facebook

  2. To me facebook is one of the largest social networks and it is convinient and easy to keep in touch with people. Initially Facebook was created for college kids to keep in touch when they left campus but know it widely used by everyone. It is a way to keep people up to date on what you are doing, by posting statements that your friends (or anyone) can see depending on how your security settings are set up. This is a great way to keep in touch and get back in touch with old classmates and friends.

  3. Facebook is the most popular social networking site in the world, right now. It is a place where you can interact with your friends and family no matter how far away they are. It’s a place where you can let people know what you are doing and with whom you did them with http://www.gcflearnfree.org/facebook101/1 .

  5. Facebook in my own words is a social network with the intent to keep in touch with friends at a distance. I also feel that Facebook is a way to see what friends are doing or go as far as to see what their interest are. I personally don’t put up statuses but those are a way to convey what is on a persons mind at a particular moment. I prefer to just look at pictures really. Along with that, Facebook allows relatives to see what you are up to say for instance at college. Facebook is a great social network when used appropriately. The down side of Facebook is that people may be cyber bullied through it but other than that, it is relatively safe.

  6. To me Facebook isa social etworking site where you can connect with family, friends, coworkers, bosses, teachers, and other students. It is designed to be a better version of MySpace so that each person can keep in touch in a faster way with someone that is more long distance or farther away from them. The good prts of Facebook are you can keep in touch with other people and others can make you feel special by posting pictures of you or by posting on your wall. The downside of Facebook is people ca be bullied and hurt by comments and pictures as well.

  7. Facebook to me, is a social networking site where you can portray your own identitiy while making connections with others. Facebook is a place where you can talk to others, post pictures, get a glimpse of other people’s lives and share eachothers stories. It allows you to keep in touch with family, friends, and mutual friends while expressing your interests. http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-facebook.htm#did-you-know

  8. To me Facebook is our lives, its everything. Who doesn’t have a Facebook? Nobody! Without it the world would not be the world and who knows what our planet would be like. It’s a great place to catch up with relatives, “old girlfriends” for our parents generation, and its a simple way to promote yourself. Anything and everything is possible in the realm of “Facebook”.
